The Stables at Frederica offers riding lessons to all levels and ages of riders across a range of disciplines, including hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage, and western.  Equestrians may ride their own mounts or utilize of the Stables's school horses.  We strive to provide a thorough all-around and inclusive education regarding horses to our students.  Safe horsemanship is paramount to our students' experience, as well as the importance of ground skills.  A true understanding of all aspects of horse care is an integral component of successful horse and rider partnerships.

The Stables at Frederica provides instruction for all ages and experience levels in the disciplines of hunt seat equitation, hunters, jumpers, and dressage. The Riding School is accredited by the US Hunter Jumper Association as Recognized Riding Academy, and all trainers have been certified by the US Center for Safe Sport. We provide instruction for riders interested in pursuing their maximum potential in the sport as well as those wanting to brush up their skills for purely recreational purposes. We offer packages to fit any training needs.

The Stables at Frederica offers its students the opportunity to horse show at several local and regional competitions. We horse show on circuits such as the First Coast Hunter Jumper Association, Horse Shows in the Park, PSJ, Global Dressage Festival, Tryon, and others. Our competition schedule and program is focused on providing the most relaxed and fun experience for both horses and competitors.

Camp days are held during the summer, holidays, and school breaks. These fun-filled days give riders the chance to express their love of horses through various art projects, horsemanship sessions, and of course daily riding lessons. Children build on teamwork skills through games and competitions, and study the importance of care of horses.

The Stables at Frederica hosts a high school and middle school hunt seat IEA team. The mission of the IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction. Our team riders practice during the week and attend several competitions, including our annual Winter Wonderland event hosted at the Stables.
