Wooded Estate Trail
Our newly constructed trail is now open for boarders and clients alike to enjoy. The roughly 3-mile trail winds along the western edge of Lake Frederica before weaving through endless palmettos, pines, and maritime forest. Not only is this trail an amenity available to boarders at the Stables at Frederica, but it is also available for guests of Sea Island and the Golden Isles as a guided ride.
The Wooded Estate Trail is open to boarders every day during daylight hours. Please be aware of the potential for encountering a guided ride. If so, boarders should defer to the trail guide for guidance on whether to pass the trail or join it (to prevent guest horses from trying to follow other groups). Please follow the directional signs of the trail as much as possible to avoid head to head encounters. A trail map is available so that riders can familiarize themselves with the different areas of the trail.
We ask that all boarders respect, sign, and return to the Stables Reception the following trail rules. Please also fill out the updated liability waiver (this will replace the one currently on file) before venturing on the trails.
Supplements
The Stables at Frederica offers several different supplements for purchase as part of boarding. All supplements provided are utilized by staff for Frederica’s own horses and are chosen as excellent quality supplements. The Stables keeps inventory of supplements so owners don’t have to keep up with ordering. Administration of the below supplements is complimentary. Cost of supplements is billed to the monthly boarding invoice.
U-Shield (Choice of Champions): helps maintain a healthy intestinal tract and promotes normal pH. U SHIELD begins to work upon ingestion and can be administered directly into the horse’s mouth. $30/month
Super Joint Solution (Choice of Champions): contains the optimal ingredients to help maintain your horse's joint health throughout the body that provide the building blocks for synovial fluid, cartilage and connective tissue. $75/month
Lung-Aid (Choice of Champions): helps support horses' immune systems, respiratory health, oxygen utilization and promotes normal recovery from seasonal allergies.
Apple-a-Day Electrolytes (Finish Line): helps promote healthy hydration in your horse by replacing electrolytes lost during daily activities such as urination, sweat, defecation, and respiration. This electrolyte contains no sugar or dyes, which makes it a healthier choice for your horse. $12/month
Full Bucket Probiotic Granules (Full Bucket): Full Bucket Equine Probiotic Granules with probiotic, prebiotic, and L-glutamine is a yeast based formula that naturally supports gut health and optimal immune function. $80/month
SandClear (Farnam): contains psyllium seed husk, a natural soluble fiber that increases feed ration bulk. SandClear aids in fecal sand removal. $15/month
